 Lights, Camera, Chandigarh!

Chandigarh kicked off its 5th Music and Film Festival with a blend of emotion, glitter, and strong messages. Stars lit up Municipal Bhawan-35, even as hearts remained heavy over the recent Pahalgam attack.

Veteran filmmaker Rahul Rawail, comedian Ali Asgar, and Pollywood icons like Priti Sapru and Nirmal Rishi set the tone for a soulful evening. Actor-singer Karamjit Anmol stole the limelight, singing ‘Dheeyan da Geet’ and posing with thrilled fans.

Seema Kaushal echoed everyone’s love for cinema, calling it ‘food for her soul’. She urged people to support local films by watching them in theatres.

Priti Sapru shared her gratitude for fans and introduced her “Yatra Pukaar” movement to promote awareness and unity for Kashmir. She also made a strong case for setting up a film institute in the region.

Meanwhile, actor Inaamul Haq promoted his indie film “The Shoes I Wore”, highlighting the tough journey of small movies in a star-driven industry. “Support good content, skip the popcorn if needed,” he joked.

Bollywood name Mushtaq Khan hyped up his rom-com “Love Karu Yaaa Shaadi,” set to release May 23. With more screenings and talks planned at Chandigarh University, the festival promises a big-hearted celebration of Indian cinema.
