Chandigarh hosted The Wise Owl Literary Awards on March 15, bringing together the best in literature and art. Rachna Singh, founding editor of The Wise Owl, welcomed the guests.
The awards had three categories: Poetry, Fiction, and Non-Fiction. Sudeep Sen’s ‘Anthropocene’ won the Poetry Award, with Smitha Sehgal and Rochelle Potkar as runners-up.
Shinie Antony’s ‘Eden Abandoned’ took the Fiction prize, followed by Damyanti Biswas’s ‘The Blue Bar’ and Manjula Padmanabhan’s ‘Taxi’.
In Non-Fiction, Sohini Chattopadhyay’s ‘I Am A Runner’ won top honors. Arun Ezhuthachan’s ‘Sacred Sins’ and Pradeep Sebastian’s ‘An Inky Paradise’ came in as runners-up.
Winners were awarded cheques of Rs 25,000. The event recognized outstanding talent and celebrated literary excellence.
