Vicky Kaushal’s latest film, ‘Chhaava,’ has taken the box office by storm, earning ₹50 crore worldwide on its opening day. The makers announced this impressive milestone on Saturday.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, ‘Chhaava’ hit theaters on Friday. It has now set the record for the biggest opening ever for a historical Hindi film.

Maddock Films celebrated the achievement on social media, calling it “Chhaava ki dahaad” (the roar of Chhaava). They urged audiences to book their tickets and witness the cinematic spectacle.

In India alone, the film collected ₹33.1 crore net on its first day. This marks Kaushal’s third historical role after ‘Sardar Udham’ and ‘Sam Bahadur.’ He plays Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The movie boasts a stellar cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Diana Penty, Ashutosh Rana, and Vineet Kumar Singh. Their performances have been well-received by audiences.

With such a strong start, ‘Chhaava’ looks set for a successful run in the coming days. Fans and critics alike are eager to see how far this historical action film goes at the box office.
