Tom Cruise has once again pushed his limits for his latest film. He revealed that he passed out multiple times while filming an intense stunt for Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning.
The jaw-dropping scene features Cruise hanging from the wing of a 1930s Boeing Stearman biplane. The aircraft soars at 10,000 feet over South Africa while he battles heavy wind at speeds over 120 mph.
Cruise explained that he had to train himself how to breathe properly during the high-speed stunt. Due to the lack of oxygen, he sometimes blacked out and struggled to return to the cockpit.
Fans are no strangers to Cruise’s fearless stunt work. He has previously scaled the Burj Khalifa and held his breath underwater for over six minutes in past films.
His dedication to performing real stunts has made him a legend in Hollywood. Each film raises the bar, and Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning looks to be no exception.
Audiences can expect another adrenaline-fueled adventure when the film hits theaters. Cruise continues to prove why he remains one of the most daring action stars in the industry.
