Shah Rukh Khan surprised the cast and crew of ‘Come Fall in Love – The DDLJ Musical’ during a rehearsal in London. The superstar dropped in to show support for the stage adaptation of his iconic 1995 film, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’.
The musical is directed by Aditya Chopra, who also directed the original film. It premieres from May 29 to June 21 at the Manchester Opera House.
Actor Jena Pandya, who plays Simran, called meeting SRK a memory she’ll always hold dear. She said he was warm, patient, and thrilled to see scenes he once brought to life.
Ashley Day, who plays Rog—an updated Raj—said Shah Rukh greeted everyone with love and excitement. He added it was surreal to share private words with the original Raj.
Composer duo Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, who created 18 fresh English songs, also felt blessed by the visit. SRK’s enthusiasm gave the whole team a huge boost.
The musical tells the story of Simran, a British Indian woman torn between duty and love. Now, with SRK’s blessing, the cast is more pumped than ever to hit the Manchester stage.
