Soha Ali Khan is making a comeback with the horror sequel ‘Chhorii 2’ after stepping away from movies for seven years. The actor took a break from acting to focus on motherhood after the birth of her daughter Inaaya in 2017.
She admits she became totally absorbed in parenting and lost touch with everything else. Now, with her daughter growing up, Soha says it’s time to reclaim her own identity.
Soha was last seen in ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3’ in 2018. When director Vishal Furia offered her the role of the villain in ‘Chhorii 2’, she didn’t think twice.
The actor is a horror fan herself and said she loved the genre’s ability to leave a lasting impact. She remembers being scared for months after watching her first horror film as a kid.
Despite being excited, Soha was nervous about her look in the film. She didn’t want to appear “tacky” in her role as an eerie character.
But after watching the final cut, she’s thrilled with how it turned out. “Chhorii 2” is now streaming on Prime Video, bringing new scares and a fresh chapter in the chilling story.
