Veteran actor Sathyaraj, best known as Kattappa from ‘Baahubali’, says meeting legendary writer Salim Khan was a bigger deal than acting alongside his son, superstar Salman Khan. The actor was speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Sikandar’.
In ‘Sikandar’, Sathyaraj plays the main villain. He thanked director A R Murugadoss for giving him a role that reminded him of his earlier days as a sarcastic bad guy.
Sathyaraj shared that Salman introduced him to his father saying, “Papa, Kattappa”. The moment touched him deeply, as he had grown up admiring Salim-Javed’s iconic work in Bollywood.
With a career spanning 47 years and over 250 films, Sathyaraj said he’s excited to return to his villain roots. He believes his previous similar roles changed the way villains were portrayed in films.
The movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and debutant Anjini Dhawan. Aggarwal called it “humbling” to be part of such a big film, while Joshi praised Salman for his kindness on set.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, ‘Sikandar’ is set to hit the big screens on March 30. Fans can expect action, drama, and a stellar star cast in this thriller.
