Ranveer Allahbadia, Others Face NCW Over Controversial Remarks

Social media influencers Ranveer Allahbadia and Apoorva Mukhija appeared before the National Commission for Women (NCW) on Thursday. They were questioned over derogatory remarks made on comic Samay Raina’s show, ‘India’s Got Latent.’

Producers Saurabh Bothra and Tushar Poojari, along with lawyers for Jaspreet Singh and Ashish Chanchlani, also faced the panel. Sources said Allahbadia and Mukhija expressed regret after being grilled for hours.

NCW had taken serious note of vulgar comments made by the personalities on the show. They were all summoned by the commission for their statements.

Multiple FIRs were registered against Allahbadia, who is also known as BeerBiceps. His comments on parents and sex sparked outrage.

The Supreme Court later granted him interim protection from arrest. However, the court criticized his remarks, calling them “vulgar” and stating he had a “dirty mind.”

The controversy has put social media influencers under the scanner. Many online users continue to debate the issue, reflecting on the responsibilities of content creators.
