Businessman-turned-actor Raj Kundra is diving headfirst into Punjabi cinema. After making his debut with ‘Undertrial’ (UT69), he’s now signed a three-film deal with DB Digitainment. Kundra revealed that these films will blend everything from drama and action to comedy, targeting a family-friendly audience.
When asked about this new chapter, Raj said he wanted to dedicate something truly entertaining to his Punjabi roots. “Something exciting is brewing,” he teased without spilling too many details. Fans will have to wait for Lohri on January 13 to get a glimpse of the first project.
Kundra has always embraced his Punjabi heritage. Over Christmas, he and his wife, actress Shilpa Shetty, celebrated with true Punjabi spirit. Raj even shared a video of himself performing Bhangra in freezing temperatures, highlighting his vibrant personality.
The Instagram clip also featured their children enjoying festive moments with Santa Claus. Kundra captioned it with a heartfelt message about blending traditions and staying true to his Punjabi soul. “You can take us out from Punjab, but you’ll never take the Punjabi out of us,” he wrote.
Raj and Shilpa have been married since 2009 and share two children, Viaan and Samiksha. With this new venture into Punjabi films, Kundra is all set to showcase yet another side of his talent while keeping his community entertained.
