Ajay Devgn’s latest thriller, Raid 2, kicked off strong at the box office. It raked in a solid Rs 51.31 crore net in its first weekend, as confirmed by the makers on Sunday.
The film, released on May 1, stars Devgn alongside Riteish Deshmukh and Vaani Kapoor. It’s directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also helmed the original Raid in 2018.
On day one, Raid 2 pulled in Rs 19.71 crore. The momentum slowed just slightly, with Rs 13.05 crore on day two and bounced back with Rs 18.55 crore on day three.
T-Series shared the collection figures on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The post featured the movie’s poster and breakdown of daily earnings.
Promotional buzz continues online with fans urged to book tickets. “Box office par #Raid2 ka raaj!” they captioned the update.
Raid 2 brings back Devgn as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, taking the action-packed story forward. With a strong start, it looks like another winner for Devgn and team.
