Preity Zinta Heartbroken as Los Angeles Wildfires Ravage Neighborhoods

Actor Preity Zinta, now living in Los Angeles, shared her heartbreak over the devastating wildfires tearing through the city. She assured fans that her family is safe but described the situation as harrowing.

The wildfires, which began just north of downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday, have claimed 16 lives, according to local authorities. Over 12,000 structures, including homes and businesses, have been destroyed, leaving many displaced.

Zinta, who shares twins Jai and Gia with her husband Gene Goodenough, expressed her fears and anguish on social media. She described ash falling from the sky and the uncertainty about what the future holds. Families are evacuating or are on high alert, she said.

She praised the firefighters for their relentless efforts and prayed for those who have lost everything. “Grateful to god that we are safe as of now,” she shared in her emotional note.

Authorities are yet to determine the cause of the largest fires. Early estimates suggest the destruction could lead to one of the costliest natural disasters in U.S. history.

On the work front, Zinta is set to appear in Rajkumar Santoshi’s “Lahore 1947,” produced by Aamir Khan. For now, though, her focus remains on the unfolding tragedy around her.

Stay safe, she urged everyone in an emotional sign-off, echoing the hope for calmer winds and contained fires.
