Actor-singer Paresh Pahuja is making waves with both his music and acting. His songs ‘Dooron Dooron’ and ‘Botalaan’ are winning young hearts, while his role as Mahi in ‘Bandish Bandits 2’ is gaining him fame.
Currently in Chandigarh for his nationwide tour, Paresh credits director Anand Tiwari for shaping his character. He feels the show has given him a big career push, making people notice his talent.
Despite playing a musician in the series, he doesn’t think it takes away from his real musical journey. Instead, it has helped his music gain more listeners, with ‘Dooron Dooron’ becoming popular two years after its release.
Paresh is inspired by actor-singers like Diljit Dosanjh and Ayushmann Khurrana. Since debuting in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, he has worked in major projects like ‘Tandav’ and ‘Jogi’, often turning to filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar for guidance.
A Sindhi by birth, he shares a deep connection with Punjab. He admires the beauty of the Punjabi language and often includes it in his music, even drawing inspiration from the poetry of Bulleh Shah.
Confident about his place in the industry, Paresh believes good music will always find its audience. Though he had to learn the sitar for ‘Bandish Bandits 2’, he feels every new role brings new learning. For him, music is all about the soul.
