Mumbai police have booked a 35-year-old man from Punjab for making a false death threat call against Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff. The man, identified as Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, was caught after police found his claim to be fake.
On Monday, Singh called the Mumbai police control room, saying that a weapon and a Rs 2 lakh contract were handed over to kill Shroff. He even claimed that some people from a security agency were involved.
After a quick investigation, Khar police realized that Singh’s story was made up. Mumbai cops contacted Punjab police, who detained Singh and are now bringing him to Mumbai.
A case has been filed against the accused, and further questioning is expected. Authorities are taking such prank calls seriously as they waste critical police resources.
Interestingly, false threats have become a concerning trend, with even Salman Khan recently facing fake threats. Last week, a man from Gujarat was caught sending a death threat to Khan through WhatsApp.
Cops stress that prank calls and fake alarms can land people in serious legal trouble. They are urging everyone to act responsibly.
