Lisa Ray Slams Air India Over Medical Waiver Denial

Actress Lisa Ray has criticized Air India for refusing a medical waiver after canceling her 92-year-old father’s flight due to his poor health. She shared her frustration on social media, accusing the airline of lacking empathy.

Lisa explained that she submitted all necessary documents, including a doctor’s letter, but Air India still denied the request. She questioned how an airline that claims to care about passengers could reject such a plea.

In response, Air India’s official account replied to her complaint. Lisa then posted a screenshot showing that no medical waiver was available and revealed that her father had been hospitalized.

Known for being vocal about health issues, Lisa Ray has been a strong advocate for patient rights. She previously battled multiple myeloma, a rare bone marrow cancer, and shared her fight in her 2019 memoir, Close To The Bone.

Lisa started her career as a model in the ’90s and later moved into acting. She recently appeared in the second season of the hit show Four More Shots Please!

Her post has sparked debate online, with many questioning airline policies on medical emergencies. Air India has yet to issue a formal statement on the matter.
