Jackie Chan to Be Honoured with Lifetime Award in Switzerland

Martial arts legend Jackie Chan is set to receive a lifetime achievement award at the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland.

The 71-year-old actor will be celebrated for his iconic career that brought Hong Kong action films into the global spotlight.

Known for hits like Rumble in the Bronx and Rush Hour, Chan bridged East and West with his unique action-comedy style.

At the festival, he’ll introduce two of his classics, Project A and Police Story, both from the 1980s and both directed by and starring him.

Fans can also catch Chan in a live onstage chat in Locarno on August 10.

The festival credited Chan for not just acting, but also directing, producing, choreographing, and doing his own wild stunts.

He was previously honoured with an honorary Oscar in 2017, solidifying his lasting impact on global cinema.
