Guns N’ Roses Rock Mumbai After 12 Years

Guns N’ Roses lit up Mumbai this weekend with a blazing return to India after 12 long years. The American rock legends played for over three hours, thrilling fans with more than 25 all-time hits.

The concert kicked off at 7 pm at Mahalaxmi Race Course, with thousands queuing up hours earlier. From teens to grandparents, the crowd came ready to relive their favorite tracks.

Songs like “Welcome to the Jungle”, “November Rain”, and “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” got everyone singing and swaying. Some danced, cheered, and waved hand fans to beat the city’s humid weather.

One 68-year-old woman from Bengaluru stole hearts, dancing with joy. “These songs are my childhood favorites,” she smiled. Fans from Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and beyond said the trip was totally worth it.

Unlike other pop acts, frontman Axl Rose kept his chat to a minimum. “I’m having a nice time. Hope you are too,” he said—letting the music do all the talking.

There were hiccups. Some complained about poor food, lack of water, and uncomfortable heat. Others said transport from the venue was chaotic. Still, for most, the rock vibes overruled all flaws.

Indian band Girish and the Chronicles opened the night. And by the time Slash threw his jacket and ring into the crowd, fans knew they’d witnessed a night to remember.
