A heartwarming charity dinner took place at Whispering Willows, Zirakpur, on Saturday. Hosted by CanSupport, the event raised awareness and funds for palliative care for cancer patients.
Guests arrived in elegant evening wear, greeted by live music from the Rodrigues band. The atmosphere blended celebration with a strong sense of purpose, as supporters came together for the cause.
CanSupport, an NGO honored by WHO, has been providing home-based care since 1996. Founder Harmala Gupta, a cancer survivor, attended the event alongside renowned nutritionist Dr. Deeba Arif.
A gourmet meal was served while inspiring stories of resilience were shared. A short film about CanSupport’s history and patient experiences was the highlight of the evening.
Mohini Daljeet Singh, a managing committee member, stressed the event’s goal—raising funds for palliative care, especially for underprivileged cancer patients. She also celebrated the role of women as caregivers on Women’s Day.
The funds collected will help expand CanSupport’s services, ensuring dignity and comfort for those battling cancer. The event stood as a testament to the power of community and compassion.
