CBI Closes Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

CBI Closes Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

The CBI has filed a closure report in the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The report was submitted before a Mumbai court on Saturday.

Rajput was found hanging in his Mumbai home on June 14, 2020. Mumbai Police initially registered an accidental death report.

Later, the CBI took over the investigation from Bihar Police. The case was based on a complaint by Rajput’s father, who accused actress Rhea Chakraborty and her family of abetment to suicide.

Chakraborty, on the other hand, had filed a case against Rajput’s family. Both cases were investigated by the CBI.

After years of investigation, the CBI has now concluded that there is no evidence of foul play. The closure report states that no criminal act was found behind Rajput’s death.

This development brings a legal end to the case but may not settle public emotions. The loss of the talented actor continues to be felt by fans worldwide.
