Renowned Bengali singer and songwriter Pratul Mukhopadhyay has passed away at 82. He was undergoing treatment at SSKM hospital for pancreatic and age-related ailments.
Mukhopadhyay was famous for his socially conscious songs, often performed without instruments. His iconic works include ‘Ami Banglay Gan Gai’ and ‘Dinga Bhashao Sagore’.
