Legendary music composer AR Rahman kickstarted his ‘Wonderment Tour’ in Mumbai with a power-packed concert on Saturday night. The show was held at the DY Patil Stadium and saw thousands gather to witness the magic live.
Rahman wasn’t alone. He was joined on stage by his son AR Ameen, singer Jonita Gandhi, and actor-singer Dhanush. Fans got a taste of old and new hits, from ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’ to ‘Sadda Haq’.
The Oscar-winning maestro hyped the crowd with songs from his recent release “Chhaava”. The night turned electric when Dhanush joined him to perform their latest track ‘Adangaatha Asuran’ from the movie ‘Raayan’.
Excited fans snapped away as Rahman clicked a post-concert selfie and called the crowd his “clan” on Instagram. Dhanush too called the performance “an absolute honour” in his own post.
The concert is part of a bigger vision called ‘The Wonderment Tour’, a concept dreamt up by Rahman himself. It’s produced in partnership with Percept Live, Fair Game, and Jo Entertainment.
With a blend of soulful music and high-energy performances, Mumbai got a night to remember. The tour is now expected to hit other cities with similar star power.
