AR Rahman Hospitalized for Dehydration, Now Home and Well

Music legend AR Rahman was admitted to a Chennai hospital on Sunday due to dehydration. He was discharged a few hours later, with doctors confirming he was in good health.

The 58-year-old composer’s manager, Senthil Velan, assured fans that Rahman is perfectly fine. He initially complained of neck pain but tests confirmed there was no serious issue.

Rahman’s sister, AR Reihana, dismissed rumors of chest pain. She clarified that the musician suffered from dehydration and gastric discomfort.

Close aide Vijay Iyer said Rahman had returned from the UK and was jet-lagged while fasting for Ramadan. This led to discomfort, prompting a hospital visit for a thorough check-up.

His wife, Saira Rahman, who recently announced their separation, sent her best wishes and requested the media not to refer to her as his “ex-wife.” She emphasized they are still married but living separately.

Fans flooded social media with well-wishes for Rahman’s recovery. Tamil Nadu CM M.K. Stalin also checked on him, confirming he was doing well. Rahman is now back home, gearing up for upcoming projects.
