The 2025 Golden Globe Awards lit up Los Angeles on Sunday night, celebrating top talent from film and television. Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, the event recognized winners across 27 categories with plenty of memorable moments.
In a big sweep, ‘Emilia Perez’ clinched Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Non-English Language Film. Zoe Saldana snagged Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film, while its track ‘El Mal’ won Best Original Song.
‘The Brutalist’ was crowned Best Motion Picture – Drama, raking in additional wins for Adrien Brody as Best Actor and Brady Corbet as Best Director. ‘Flow’ took home Best Animated Film honors, while ‘Wicked’ earned the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award.
On the TV side, ‘Shogun’ dominated the drama category, with Anna Sawai and Hiroyuki Sanada winning for their stellar performances. ‘Hack’ was deemed Best TV Series – Musical or Comedy, and Jean Smart took Best Female Actor in TV Comedy.
The limited series ‘Baby Reindeer’ received high praise, earning the Best Limited Series award. Jessica Gunning and other stars, including Jodie Foster and Colin Farrell, were lauded for their riveting performances in limited series roles.
Honorary awards added gravitas, with Viola Davis receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Ted Danson taking home the Carol Burnett Award. The star-studded evening left fans buzzing and set the tone for an exciting awards season.
